She

With every step she takes
the darkness is penetrated
with a light never imagined.
(I am laid cold and bare
before her like a helpless,
shivering, newborn baby)
Every time she breathes
the oceans swell with warmth
and the sky melts azure blue.
(I am flayed open and exposed
to her like a gutted fish,
bleeding down to my soul)
With every blink of her eyes
the trees bow their branches
while the flowers hide their petals
from the beauty of her smile.
