With You (Part Two)

And then I said to her:
"Listen for me in the quiet
solitude of the dark, still night,
when the fireflies are blinking
through the warm summer air
and the mild breezes are stirring
the unseen branches high above.
Listen to that soft, welcome rustle
of the green, fresh leaves for there
I'll be, laughing among the buzzing
Junebugs and singing to you from
the moon while the shimmering stars
play a magical summer tune to which
only you and I ever knew the words."
