Still

Still

There's a small grey shadow
across an empty chair.
Still she makes the tears come
in warm trickles of injustice.
There's a cold, unspoken word
on the tip of my tongue.
Still my throat clenches
and my lip starts to quiver.
There's a small grey shadow
across an empty chair.
Still she makes my heart weep
in black, silent mourning.
