Sweet Angel (Part Two)

Sweet Angel (Part Two)

She came to me
in my deep loneliness
like a cool ocean breeze,
floating through the summer sky
and piercing the sultry air
with eyes that outshone the sun
and swallowed the moonlight,
as the shimmering stars
wrapped their silver fingers
around her like a halo.
She comes to me
in my quiet moments
like a gentle white mist,
silently drifting through my mind
and softly caressing my heart,
until every fear has been forgotten
and the last trace of sorrow
fades away like a dying echo.
She will come to me
in my sleeping dreams
like a smiling phantom in satin,
lifting me from the darkness
with arms that embrace my soul,
and together we will dance
across the nebulous heavens
while the planets spin out a melody
that carries us off into eternity.
