Under the pressure-
Both The duress of knowing she walks the
Far from me,
yet still audible
in quiet moments of tearful candor,
taken away as Fate's tribute to its
Empty, equally restless, insatiable her
Seeking us again
In every man she meets,
The heat of our past-
Ultimately heavy infernos
Flaring, painful in our scorched
fury fed by heated sweat and panted
On so many nights
ending in why not,
We forged within each other
Diamond hearts that pound
Ogled by would-be buyers and easy
Guarded, secreted away, luminous,
Legendary, hardened by time and
The hot pressure , a loving kiln
In which again, gloriously,
We yearn to return
And forever burn.
