When We Are Both Cats

When We Are Both Cats

First vision revealed a naked vulnerability
A plea to break free, yet regain sanity
Eyes curious, transfixed, did not wane
Enmeshed with fire, fearless of the flame

Led way to laughter and bodily desire
Bold as a lion, my heart and mind were set a fire
A gravitational pull from across the world
Guarded both we were, but sails soon unfurled

On deck together, weighed by heavy baggage
At times we spoke a different language
Just our souls traveled by sea
Alas, constrictions wouldn't permit such ecstasy
