I thought that if I held on,

Then maybe you would see.

That there's more than what you thought,

Residing inside of me.

I thought that maybe if I lingered,

Maybe waited for a while,

Then you could see what I was about,

But I was really in denial.

I shouldn't have confided

Shouldn't have let myself fall.

Now i'm building brick by brick,

I'm building up that brick wall.

Now i'm sitting by myself

Staring off into space.

Now i'm thinking trusting you

Was a big mistake.

But who is to blame?

In the end no one but me.

No one but me myself and I,

For not being able to see.

Now i'm sitting by myself,

1,2,3, I'm drinking.

Now i'm sitting by myself,

4,5,6 I'm thinking.

Now i'm sitting by myself,

By myself I am alone.

Now my heart is freezing over,

And it feels like home.
