To My beloved Sheliana

To My beloved Sheliana

Withal the fruits that may balm ones lips
as fleeting charms of wit do wane,
What said, will measure nectars taste
to fairly compliment thy frame?

Thine eyes, eer cherished with their shine,
Art tender compliments to liven mine.
Thy glow of spirit, as kindled flame,
Doth captivate and spur acclaim.
Thy sprightly tress, in brilliant lace
Doth withhold no dignity from thy stature, nor grace.

What is the cast of pinkish blush upon thy cheek,
Or dimple in thy cheerful gaze that renders liniment to mine ailment?

Tis the enshrinement of virginal pleasantry.
For thou art precious and kept sacred, as God maketh thee to be.
