Love Boats

Love Boats

relation ships are sinking like the booze
some don't last as long as running shoes
if there's an ice berg left they'll hit it
if there's love you know I've missed it
there's room inside but not enough for two

desperate is the man who's seeking truth
I thought being alone was me with you
romance needs optimism
and breezes just won't do
so they swim to shore and buy discount canoes

empty is an ocean void of sound
after everything you love is miles down
all their centuries of wisdom
fails to see the bitter view
no difference in a lifeboat and canoe
