You Lost Me Because...

You Lost Me Because...

You won't lose me because you made me laugh too much...
You'll lose me because that's all you did.
I laughed too much, yet never felt your love.
You didn't kiss me passionately enough to taste you on his lips.
You didn't hold me enough to miss your body on a cold night.
You didn't tell me sweet little
Nothing's to remember all day.
I couldn't see you when I looked at him.
You could never make me laugh enough to cover the heartbreak.
I tried so hard to remember you...
But you were easily forgotten.
You didn't lose me bc of what you said, you lost me because of what you didn't say.
You lost me because of how I didn't feel.
There wasn't enough whiskey to erase the pain I felt in my heart.
You took my soul, and then left it in the open.
I promised to be faithful...I promised to be loyal...
But you weren't faithful to my heart.
You weren't loyal to my guard falling.
You lost me because you couldn't tell me I love you.
You lost me bc all I could remember were the jokes...
I couldn't remember what you said, what you did...but I will remember how you made me feel...
So you lost me.
