This is an older poem of mine but I wanted to post it again. I hope you all enjoy.
You bare a slender resemblance to the eyes of the cold Could you change my position with the grace of your soul? Though you arrived here in darkness None could tarnish your light And I am drawn by the heat of your ardent life
Could you thaw my frozen heart with your melting hands? Before Face first in sleet I can scarcely stand
Still The winter came in the soothing heat of day And the scenery changed from golden to gray Shivering deep I could hardly say At the end of the day "I will tremble and quake in the shade of perfect misery" This our brilliant mystery
How my splendid resilience is deaf from years in the cold And you came like a phantom in the fog as it rolled What a silver appearance Such a gleaming of white And I promised to heal you with all of my might
And you thawed my frozen heart with your melting hands Now feet first in sleet I will pray to stand
Who drank the warmth of our lovely form I will scorch December?s face I will adorn the season with scorn And bring us up from the wake
