Hidden Heart

Hidden Heart

A sharp pain pierces through my heart

As I watch her day by day

Switching from one guy to the next

Wasting away with the day

As it passes by like blurred century

I watch as she throws away her life

Doing all to satisfy her fleshly desires

I see as she is drawn away from life

Pulled away by death,

Into the depths of hell.

Bit by bit she goes,

And all I can do is watch

I think of all the chances I had

To pull her out of this tragedy

And all I can do is condemn myself

(Blaming myself for all that went wrong)

I flood my head with thoughts

Of what I could have done...

To prevent this

"If only I had stopped her...

If only I had told her... How I really felt

If only I'd spelt out my heart to her

Then she would have known

And all this would never have happened"

But what can I do now?

When all has happened,

Surely I can't cry over spilt milk.

I can only recall her final words

Before she decided to take away

"Her Life"-the final words

Of a grieving soul-

"Terrence... I'm pregnant..."
