The Purple Veil

The Purple Veil

The smile behind the purple veil
A smile such wondrous stories tells.
Of laughing lights and loving nights
No veil could hide a smile so bright.

A smile of lips, a smile of eyes,
a smile of promise realized,
Deep browns cast over pearly white
Could send a soul to newer heights.

What man can ever be thought lost
When all his fates become complete.
Where'er the purple veil is tossed
Desire and destiny both meet.
