I feel for you, in the way one might
for a down on his luck
drowning rat.

"Oh, poor thing, let me save it".

Do not mistake momentary compassion
for anything more then it is,
fleeting compassion.

"Stupid, stupid girl, you should of known".

Not out of weakness do I feel
as if I should pull you out,
only for lack of judgement.

"To the end of this, making me bitter truce".

I have done my honest days work,
pulling and searching for ways
to ease your ungrateful usage of my abilities.

"My mother would have warned me, if she could".

Light follows the Darkest of nights.
