My Tan

My Tan

Pore on pore
My finger tips feel little bumps on your neck
Your hair feels like cheap velvet
Your eyes are the simplest blue
My lips caress yours
They only miss you while they tingle
They crave you when they buzz
My eyes search your every imperfection
and it makes me want you more
Your warmth is my comfort
and your glance is the red in my cheeks
Your touch is all I ask of you,
Be the tan on my skin

I feel your breath come through me
Your heart beats against my chest
The clock keeps your rhythm
and it gives us all the time we need
I look into your plain blue eyes
and grasp onto your rugged neck
Your hair brushes against my face
Our pores are one another's sustenance
They feel burning passion in a tender touch
My lips start to miss you
We quiver as one
My body is flushed and yours is pale in ecstasy
After I can breathe again, you smile
We sleep sun-kissed and entwined
Your touch is all I asked of you,
You are the tan on my skin
