Dying heart go so gently

Dying heart go so gently

As I look upon you I see your face has
defied time
I see the water that once protected me dissipate
The heartbeat that once filled my ears weaken to the sound of a broken tom, tom
You are as strong
You have given me strength from the sad and lonely life that was forced
On you by the one whose passage you used
Your beautiful black hair has been reduced to silk white
Your hands that were so strong and sewed my communion dress
are now bent and twisted and can no longer thread a needle
You were given to a man who was old enough to be our creator
And remained my pillar
Of nine who used your passage 3 remain and you do not complain
But it is time mother be free go and find your Eutopia
Perhaps in the next incarnation
I can repay you by being the one whose heartbeat you listen to
