Tomorrow's Lily

Tomorrow's Lily

Undemanding beauty
Shades of purple, blue and gold
Reflecting in the water
Secret thoughts not once been told.

His distant sigh caresses
Sleeping petals in full bloom
Enticing the lonely lily
To dance beneath his waning moon.

Dreams of love that once were lost
A heart of pain and sorrow
Is now replaced
With the sweet embrace
For his lily of tomorrow.
