Sandpaper.

Sandpaper.

Pupils bob up and down
blistering inside themselves.

Wounds materialise
themselves
on the inside of
potential

I don’t know how you got in here
but suddenly it’s all about you.

Now don’t get me wrong,
I wholly value it,
this ripe connection,
this opal fruit of
attachment

but in past occurrences
my heart
has been smudged
into
oblivion.

And it’s fabric
resembles

sandpaper.
