Teach me how to Love.

Teach me how to Love.

“Teach me how to love,”

A fervent stranger
proclaimed in my ear
one night, at a jazz club
famously acclaimed in the city.

At first, I assumed such
a proposition to be a tawdry
cliché plucked from many;
stolen through the ‘ole
grapevine of
life.

That is,
until I spun around
to feast my
perception on
this immaculate stranger.

Imagine my surprise

when it was snippets of
myself that I saw residing there.

The floor crackled and
swayed beneath me
as she proceeded with her timeless,
idiosyncratic proposition

which seemed to swirl the
atmosphere in a
hypnotic
zoom.

“Educate me on the map of your desires,”
she said
“let my ideals encompass yours
allow our lovemaking to be an archaic,
precious manuscript,
which,
when we’re older we can study until

our hearts are full again

where we realize
to the fullest
extent,
why we ended
up in the same
rivulet,

side
by
side. “

.The room begins to dilute.
