Separated souls
by differences so bold;
culture, age, language,
and conscience she told.

These unimportant things
sideswept, I'd sweep away,
but they stand between
our all important lust

I'll drown my ears
in fingers and tongues.
My rhythmic tears;
your family sung.

I miss your braid,
those black strands of night.
A moon made of smile,
the stars are your eyes

your tan skin fades in my mind,
your beautiful hair turns gray,
the moon remains in a phase that's new,
and the stars are too far away.
