Divorcing

Divorcing

[revised version please, for Platypus :)]

Stillness in motion
silent spoken words
doubt in truth
lessons unlearned
a bride to desolation.

Dulled veil of tulle
aged eyes beneath
drifting vacant
searching fulfillment
a resurrected groom.

Brass bedroom mirror
reflects romantic fabrics
in dormant space.

She passes quickly
barely resembles
smiling youth
disfigured heart
transparent for worldview.

Transition came like cancer
quietly, cruel and unforgiving.

Magnificent cliché, love everlasting

Our buried hearts beating.

[original version]
Stillness in motion
silent spoken words
doubt in truth
lessons unlearned;
a bride to desolation.

Dulled yellow veil of tulle
aged as the eyes beneath
drifting vacant
searching fulfillment;
a resurrected groom.

Brass bedroom mirror
reflecting romantic fabrics
in dormant space.

She passes quickly
barely resembles
the girl's smiling youth;
a disfigured heart transparent for worldview.

Transition came like cancer
quietly cruel and unforgiving.

Magnificent cliché, love everlasting

Our buried hearts beating.
