Anger

How does one conquer anger
When it's buried deep within?
You forget it's there, and believe you've healed.
Until the source is revealed again.

Out of the blue you feel it
Boiling white hot rage
You thought you'd moved on and forgiven
Now you're like a lion pacing in a cage.

It makes your head pound and your heart race madly.
This is not how you want to feel.
You pull it back in, and stomp it back down.
Is this how you've learned to deal?!

Forgotten does not mean gone
It will dwell inside your heart
Somehow you must release it...
Somehow, without falling apart.
