Time in a Bottle

Time in a Bottle

If I could catch time in a bottle
There are so many things I would do
I would live my life full throttle
Knowing everything I knew
I would catch the ships sailing by
The gulls flying into the sunset
And the moon rising into the midnight sky
Taking in all I could get
I would catch your eye's twinkle
Your sighs in your sleep
The way your chin dimples
All these memories I would keep

But like the sands in an hourglass
Time marches on
If all of these feelings last
Will you promise you won't be gone
If I could catch time in a bottle
I would fill it of time with you
We could live our lives full throttle
Sharing the things we knew
