Love Escaped

Love Escaped

Those haunting lies
buried still in my soul,
piece by piece
by a master
of seduction
I had failed to deny;

sweet lips dipped
in moselle
soaks his bitter tongue
as we dined
beneath street lamps
that poured misquito streaks, swept
by flying shadows scattering
the bonded streams;

empty streets
into a silver glow

waves of desonance
serenade our love.

As though
from another place
his presents seemed
as an illusion,

soft words vanishing
to whispers,

as I lye empty
alone in this darkness,
my tears
dripping away.
