Empty bedroom, empty party

Empty bedroom, empty party

Last night I lay in your bed
Strung out and shivering
Longing and waiting
Wishing for you to walk through that door
Missing the things that could have been
Missing what we had before
Cursing the sun as it filled your empty room
Everything was missing
Everything and you
I remember our first kiss
It was poured stiff
And mixed with rye and coke
I remember our first fuck
It was tangled and abrupt
It was on your brothers couch
I thought that feeling wouldn't end
And then one day you were gone
I've never looked so foolish
And with pitied eyes and snide grins
Everyone felt the need to tell me
"I told you so....carry on"
Tonight I lay in my bed
Waiting for these meds to take effect
They kill my pain and numb my soul
But they can't help to rid me of you
