No Reasons

She liked how he was tall
No particular reason, she just did that was all
A man of great stature
Yet far more refined than most men she had known
Not that there had been many
But already she knew he was not like most men.

He liked the way she smiled
The lilt in her voice as they talked all the while
A woman of mystery
Buried treasures and secrets he was yet to unveil
To explore hidden beauty
Knowing each precious gift he would slowly unwrap.

They talked about everything, nothing and more
And she laughed when he teased her, she just did that was all
A night for sweet romance
Dreams lined with promise with the things that they said
Sighs of hearts restless
Yearning for the taste of just one sultry kiss.

She knew he grew weary, that he should go to bed
'Come with me' he whispered, were the last words he said
No moment more perfect, none she could recall
No reasons to say no
No not one, not at all.
