Those almost forgotten days

Those almost forgotten days

looking back on times,
so seemingly far away
i search betwixt every
finely jagged stone, to find emotion
creating more reasons to hide,
deep inside myself

hearing those of today
still in that sweet bliss,
so overly innocent in every compulsion...

restless, restlessly searching,
honestly, not knowing what i will really find
get out every blazing,
grating, ragefull contortion
close my eyes and imagine,
and try to save myself

to only bask, I ask a task,
I can never complete,
left in my defeat

What paradise it would be to revisit those days,
to go back to my old ways,
what I would compromise
to go back to my old sunshine rays,
gleefully ordained,
what gold mines...

of happiness, and lay where i lay,
soak up each ray,
forget what they say,
never go back again
and stay where i lay,

so far away,
in those almost forgotten days
