Imperfect and beautiful is your soft, and freckled skin
sun ripened by sitting on earths welcoming bodice
pretending to be tough on the outside but you are
liberal and sweet
it takes time
to open
up

Showing all your fleshy little pieces
like springtime morning dew
refreshing and glowing
cool against the skin
let me taste
all you
have to
offer

Little droplets dance down , residing
on my lips as a reminder of
all you had to give
but you lay there
feeling hollow
as if I took
all life away
from
you

All that remains is a shell, so empty
I had to let you go, before the bitterness
let in it's crossed ways to
drift about this place
and ruin what had been
so sweet once
before
