I wake in the morning as you ready for bed,
"Goodmorning,""goodnight," as we nod our heads.
I take to the children, the laundry and house,
As you sleep through the day,How I miss my spouse!
You wake to the sun setting low,
shower and dress and off you go.
The days that we have aren't truly ours,
obligations to others steal every last hour.
One day you might see that I just need you,
But sleeping alone, being alone I just can't do!
If I must live it every day,
shouldn't it be true in every way?
I contemplate what I should do,
live an empty love or turn you loose?
