The Enigma & Me

The Enigma & Me

A broken soul a thousand years old
Been too many places so I am told
On one summers night it came to be
This enigma called to me
Beautiful but cursed
I don’t know which is worst
How could something like this?
Happen with just one kiss
I was so mystified
Sometimes I even lied
To everyone and myself
That it was something else
That came to make me love it
And put nothing else above it
Too blind to even see
Through the enigma and me
Something told me I’d been here before
I was dealing with some kind of whore
Seductive enough to give her hand
But sleep with another man
Charming but wicked
“X” marks your ticket
Be careful of what you do
The enigma will come to you
