There is something to be said
About the nature of love.
Wonderful and fabulous,
Feeling of joy and fulfillment
Of your life

But yet,
I must say,
Your love will not
And cannot
Complete me.

Only I may have that honor,
For there is no greater love,
No greater joy of discovery
Than that of yourself.

You may make me happy,
You may enrich me
And my existence may be
Made better
With the addition of your
And your love.

But with or with out you,
I will be happy

With my loving,
Or even loathing you,
I will,
Through my own devices,
Through my own experimentation,
In this Petri dish of a world,
I will prevail
And I will be whole.
