When Blood and Love Meet

When Blood and Love Meet

Did you do it, for freedom,of course you did sir
Many troops marched with you, where enemies do lure.

The winds of defeat, weren't there this morn, when the sun just hid the night.
but battle plans where made, and you knew, you had to brace and fight.

Questions of honor, not mentioned,as you thought of the home family sweet.
When you kicked the dust, off your boots, you said this is, where blood and love meet.

I did it for peace of the world,I maybe changed one mind.
Please don't miss me to,to much, for in the end you'll find.

Remember me as you knew me,for it was time for God to take me now.
The vast Horizon is wide, and there's questions of when and how.

Don't hang your heads to long, for glory is beyond our sorrows.
With God behind your guided life, i'll see you,in the morrows.

Just remember this, as you take a stand for what,s pure and sweet.
That sometimes our life, is the cost, when blood and love do meet.
