OUT OF ME

YESTERDAY I BECAME A DOVE AND SOARED HIGH ABOVE THE SKY,
AND THEN I PERCHED UPON A LIMB AND WATCHED PEOPLE SHUFFLE QUICKLY BY;

AND THEN I CLOSED MY EYES AND BECAME THE SQUIREL THAT CLIMBED THAT TREE,
AND I RAN WITH THE OTHER SQUIRRELS AS WE CHASED EACH OTHER PLAYFULLY;

THEN WHEN THE NIGHT BEGAN TO FALL AND THE CRICKETS BEGAN TO SWOON,
I TURNED INTO A BEAUTIFUL WOLF AND HOWLED AT THE HARVEST MOON;

I RAN AND PROWLED THE WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH IN EVERY SINGLE DIRECTION,
AND THEN I CAME UPON A POND AND SAW MY GLORIOUS REFLECTION;

THERE IS WHERE I FELL ASLEEP AND DREAMED OF ALL I DID SEE,
BUT WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING I HAD TURNED BACK INTO ME;

BACK INTO ME

an inspiring author looking to publish book of poetry. hopefully i can get started here. also looking for fellow poet freinds
