Angry Love

The silent sorrow lying stiff in her throat,
the warmth has faded from his kisses.
She does not want to love in vain
but too scared to say.
She looks up, him a blur and the sleves of her shirt
are soaked.
He narrows his eyes to her red face.
From time to time he looks away from the window and waits for her to finish weeping.
Turns away again and pouts some more,
closes his eyes with carelessness and stubborness.

Her words are waisted on him,
her hands cannot calm his angry heart.
The deep sadness in her eyes he doesn't understand
nor cares to.
Tears fall like broken glass, he sits arms crossed
Yelling he does not have an anger problem.

Disarm the tounge of its posions and love her
His eyes, always dry
Her eyes are wet enough for the both of them but it would be nice to see a tear in his.
She begs for forgiveness for things shes doesn't quite understand
and knows they are miles and miles apart

Hoping he'd take her hand and hold it close to his heart
wishing for him to look at her and say he'd stay with her always.
But she know its just a dream
These not what he wants..does he?
What is this man so scared of?
All she wants to do is love him, spend her life with him

Tell her your sorry you make her cry so.
Kiss her tears away..
Her 'bitchy' comments drive him crazy and make his fists hit the steering wheel and scream at
his girlfriend as if a child getting scloded

She bows her head, be submissive.., and talks in a whisper, maybe he'll calm down...
maybe he'll see the effects of him
His threats of thunder and promises of passion
confused and scared,
she picks up her head and tries to defend herself
and fails.
And questions to herself why she's still sitting there.
Are his lips only kissing hers?
She wonders as he re-adjusts his winter jacket and
looks away again.

There is so much that is said with the silence
between them, but not really ever said.
Her insecurities getting the best of her, knowing
someone else can please
him more than she is capable of, jealous thoughts
killing her inside.
He has no pitty for her.
She turns cries out like a blubbering idiot,
tears streaming down her face.
Yelling shes sorry and doesn't know what the hell to do.
He sees her pain, just a little bit.

Broken and her hope lost, she turns to the foggy window for some sort of comfort.
Feeling worthless.
He grabs at her coat, and pulls her to his lap without a word,
brings her in close locks his arms around her tiny body.
Her tears running down his chest, holds her tighter
Its how he says he's sorry, he loves her

My tears drench the collar of his clean cut shirt,
make-up runny
"Don't get so angry, let me help" said between the cries and sniffling
He does love me, he does want us to be.
He's still here with me in my driveway,
holding on.
