Open Door

Open Door

I know that you want to leave
I can’t stop you and I don’t want to.
Here and now on Christmas Eve
My gift to you, I set you free.

Before you walk out of my life forever
Just remember
Those midnight walks through the park
Hand in hand, lead by heart

Remember the kissies,
all the times we ate Chinese
December when we, or maybe it was July?
Oh well, it doesn’t we were always happy

But now baggage in hand,
You stand, facing the door.
Your face holds tears no more.
And though your heart roars wait....

You can’t,
so go.
I’m tired
tired of being together alone
away from you
This house is not
a home.

And know that wherever you go,
you stand there alone.
You’ve fallen away from me,
with no chance to get back

to our home.
