A golden state to me, is nothing more but a mere faded memory.
As I wade threw this merciless sea, it really starts to trouble me.

What to do, what to say, it all seems to abruptly wash away.
Scared and lonely, here to stay, I wonder if I'll see a brighter day.

Many questions, many thoughts, time for action never sought.
Always passive, always scared, never hear the true words said.

Alone and frightened, here to stay, I ask myself is this ok?
Time passes and things move on, nothing new is ever drawn.

People change and things do too, I sit here wondering why I'm still blue.
Popping pills and doing drugs, I wonder if this is all there ever was.

Living lies, all the same, I ask myself who's to blame.
Clouded now, more than ever before, I wonder if I'll find a secret door.

Masked by eternity, the endless gray, I slowly watch the darkness take me away.
With open arms and open ears, I drown forever in my tears.

Every action, every word, all my feeling go unheard.
Moving towards the very end, I see my mother and start to grin.

Always loving, always kind, I wonder how she is mine.
I see her as it fades away, it's time to live yet another day.
