Why should I look away
When I would gladly be the tear
That surrenders all the hurt and fear
To loves embrace and tenderness

Why should I turn away
When I would gladly be the kiss
That takes away what’s gone amiss
To loves correcting touch and finesse

Why should I step away
When I would gladly be the part
That collects, returns a broken heart
To loves repairing charm and gentleness

Why should I walk away
When I would gladly be the one
That stands by you, for you to come
To loves true sense and happiness

Why should I hide away
When I would gladly be your light
That shows the way in darkened night
To loves healing spirit and faithfulness
