Parkbench Love

Perched upon this concrete slab
With devouring eyes and wandering hands
Your breath grows heavy, your eyes intent
This afternoon is heaven-sent

We rest in the shade of a Willow tree
Your arms and legs surrounding me
The sunbeams expose our secret meeting
These moments with you are forever fleeting

My lover, my friend, you stir my soul
You fill me up and make me whole
The breeze feels sweeter with you by my side
As our hearts and bodies become intertwined

We only have an hour to spend
So please just kiss me till the end
This grand illusion is enough for now
We must stop, but I don’t know how

Today this park is our sanctuary
Escape from a reality far too scary
For now I’ll accept this, it’s all I can do
I’m just not ready to stop loving you
