The Spirit’s Leading

The Spirit’s Leading

The mountains whisper
The streams caress
Nature’s woman
Whom God has blessed

A bright admirer
Of simpler things
The forest’s shelter
An old stump’s rings

She follows steadily
Through an untouched grove
Seeking something
With eyes turned above

A curious leading
Reveals a different man
What a foreign feel
Could this be the plan?

His eyes are friendly
But his interests odd
He likes computers
They both love God

A simple courting
Will settle the matter
Is he aloof or a scoundrel?
Quite possibly the latter

Their differences bolster
Both of one mind
Like copper and tin
Bronze when combined

Each has burdens
Complicated pasts
They help each other
Forming a bond that lasts

Not from her wisdom
But from God’s desire
She accepts the man
Her face a smile

Taking the next step
Down an exciting road
They travel unhindered
With a lighter load
