you woke up, yawning
in the pre-dawn light
where I could see
the reflection of
ourselves, outlined
in shades of grey.

I thought that I knew you,
every curve, every line.
You are still a mystery,
an enigma wrapped in
a little too much hair,
and a cheshire smile.

When you stretch,
to uncurl, to greet the day,
you remind me of
a previous lover who
bound by upstairs baggage,
did yoga to ease the stress

It should come as no surprise,
that I know my life is slightly better,
a little more complete,
with you here.
however, people don't understand...
a guy and his cat, inseparable

(its just a cat, I know. still, a little unconditional feline friendhip is a good thing. it tends to follow me everywhere)

not gonna do it
