My Soldier Guy

My Soldier Guy

I don’t want to say goodbye to you,
My wonderful Soldier Guy.
More than a boy, but not yet a man.
I don’t want you to die.
And have to stop the tears that will flow.
I don’t want you leave my sight.
To have to see you go
Not knowing if you’ll ever come back.
I don’t want to lose you.
I care too much about you,
I wish you were here right now.
I don’t want you to tell me it’s all right.
To hold me just tonight.
And then leave me tomorrow.
I don’t want you to promise to write.
Or call every chance you get.
I just want you safe in my arms.
I don’t want that goodbye kiss.
That could be the last I receive from you.
I want one that lasts a lifetime.
I don’t want my Soldier guy, to have to die.
I want my Soldier Guy, here with me forever.
Telling me he’ll never leave me again,
And will continue to be my Soldier Guy forever more.

Danny come home to me. Be my Soldier Guy once more. I will be your angel forever more. All you have to do is come home.
