he is no god

he is no god

The wrinkles grow deeper
From cute dimples
To furrowed lines,
Chiseled by the callous hands of Father Time,
A stroke of character to some
But to many, a festering sore
Oozing like pimples on a popping parade.
Turned heads show only pity
Not the envy stirred by wrinkle-free beauty.

So, move over Father Time!
Make room for Dr. Kline,
Earthly idol of the vain and insecure,
Whose clever hands nip age in the bud
And tuck crows feet under El Dorado's springs,
Extending the rein of super studs and divas
To the cutting edge of cosmetic science.
Yet soon they’ll need turtlenecks and gloves;
For though Dr. Kline is a miracle worker...

He is no GOD!
