Apart From Love

Apart From Love

The listless heart within my soul,
Bleeds out tears through my eyes so dull.

A liquid drenching me in pain,
Knowing that each endeavor is in vain.

This agony sets fire to my dry flesh,
Doused with disease my blood no longer fresh.

Slowly I become what's shredding my heart,
The horrid treason that takes me apart.

So as I lay weak and cold,
Withering with each winds poisonous gust.
This evil, it will unfold,
As it seems there is no one I can trust.
In your frigid hands you hold,
My once pure life I have sold.

The infections of this world,
Within me they have unfurled.

A knife slit my throat and I bled,
All my love and care, it has fled.

My being has become a gaping hole,
A never-ending fall, it was once full.

Here by my side there is nothing to gain,
I have nothing to give but more to drain.
