clever clues

clever clues

You’ve heard this song a thousand times
With clever clues between the lines,
The music moves you everyday,
The lyrics make you kneel and pray.

Observe the bluebirds in the sky,
Consider how gracefully they fly;
Then sail upon the oceans deep
And see how high the dolphins leap.

These mysteries of life abound
From the speed of light
To the squeal of sound;
You push the limits of your mind
But some answers you’ll never find.

Until you make a leap of faith
And take the time to contemplate,
To marvel at a world so great,
To search for love in mines of hate,
You’ll never solve the clever clues...
Instead you’ll always sing the Blues.
