I Stand...

I Stand...

I stand with the nooze around my neck.
I lift one leg up after the other standing on the chair.
I stand waiting for you to pull it out from under me.
I close my eyes, hearing you approach from behind me.
I stand as you slip the blindfold around my eyes.
I know that looking at my face as you kill me would be to much for you.
I stand I hear your breathing become heavier and I know there are tears in your eyes.
I understand that I’ve hurt you, and that its too late to apoligize for all I’ve done.
I stand tears running from my eyes with the realization, that I’ll never again see you smile.
I have just one request form you now that you can forgive me, for all I’ve done to you.
I stand my knees buckling under the weight of the terror, and pain I’ve caused you.
I finally speak my final words to you, ‘Please smile one last time my only one, my true love.’
I stand until you remove the blindfold and smile at me, and then remove the chair from beneath my feet, a smile on my face as I draw my last breath, my last sight of you smiling at me with all the love you possess in your body, all directed at your only one.
