Bhutto

I stride across shattered glass
and broken bodies,
charred and twisted.
Instead of joy,
there is wailing and
strident angry inquisition.

In place of joy
and peace
and laughter,
there is...
the sound of
an ambulance.

Where is
democracy?
Is there
a place
for
us?

Benazir Bhutto was
a steady force
and a woman
who wanted
nothing more than
the love of her country.

Honestly...
I used to think that
terrorism was not my problem.
I thought that the USA was wrong,
to get involved.
Now I think "why did we wait to fight".

not gonna do it
