"Do not purchase a trellis.
I will fabricate one"
which he did
until he decided
to quit his job
then whipped one together.

Like our relationship
it stands outside the window
rusting from lack of paint
with many, "they have extra
black at this job, so I am
going to take it in."
I wonder if he will ever take me in.

I no longer want to be in
without added support
and a coat of paint.
