SIDS SURVIVOR

SIDS SURVIVOR

Searching for some answers while constantly
trying to ease the pain
Inquiring straight to God above I ask who
was to blame
Despite of our imperfections, he reassured
that it was his call
She was needed back in Heaven to assist him
whenever we fall

Sympathetic to our suffering, he tries to
wipe all the tears away
Understand that this was his plan for she
was never meant to stay
Remembering her is bittersweet - as we are
reminded of our precious loss
Virtually nothing helps other than knowing
that Christ died for us upon the cross
Instead of drowning in sorrow and pain I
will always try to look for the light
Visions of our happy reunion ahead actually
help make the future seem bright
Occasionally I still have some bad days;
although, they get further in between
Recovery is a slow, steady process that is
possible only with God on my team
