Not Much as Ever

How could you go and end your life,
Was my love that much like a knife?
You said that love could only be,
What we could make it be.

I made my love to you my endless desire,
For I knew it would not tire,
As long as you were true to me,
As I was true to you.

How could you go and end your life,
Was my love that much like a knife?
I am beginning to think now that you were never,
Into this as much as ever.
