Circles of passion
two
interlocking Venn’s upturned
U.

Common ground found
when I met
you;

when our eyes
flashed clues
missed in every lover
we knew,

and left

when the brush of sobriety
painted exit signs
from unions
made in haste.

Better to wait in chaste
than sip from wine
with bitter after taste.

Inebriation’s never the best arbiter
of love true
and lasting…ever!

With these rings,

circles of passion
two
interlocking Venn’s upturned
U,

you complete me.
